Gregory Ellis is a civil litigator with extensive experience in both state and federal court, whose practice includes breach of contract disputes, business torts, banking, healthcare and intellectual property matters, and class action defense.  Mr. Ellis has represented clients successfully at all stages of litigation, including at trial and on appeal.  Recently, Mr. Ellis played a substantial role at trial in a fraud and breach of contract case in the Superior Court for San Francisco County, which resulted in a multi-million dollar decision for his client.  Mr. Ellis also helped obtain early dismissals of several putative class action cases against pharmaceutical companies and a national bank.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Ellis worked for several years at Arnold & Porter LLP in Los Angeles, where he represented a diverse group of clients including an Internet-based charity, a professional sports franchise, a major national bank, and several technology and pharmaceutical companies.

Mr. Ellis graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1996 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in American History.  He also received his law degree from the University of Southern California, graduating in 1999 after serving on the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal.  While in law school, Mr. Ellis served as an extern for the Hon. Ronald S.W. Lew in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.  Following law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Manuel L. Real in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
